Hi - I’m interested in getting several VPS across different Vulture data centers. When I look at pricing they come with a certain amount of bandwidth allocation. If I transfer large files between two VPS within the Vulture ecosystem does that count against my bandwidth allocation? Also does that traffic flow through an internal Vultr network or the Internet?
Hey there, thank you for reaching out. To answer your question, any outbound traffic between instances in different Vultr regions or data centers counts as metered bandwidth and is deducted from your allocation. If you exceed your limit, you’ll be charged $0.01 per GB for additional usage.
However, if you set up a VPC within the same data center, traffic between your VPS instances inside that VPC is free and won’t count toward your bandwidth usage.
